Salinha was made for talking, watching each other’s screens and playing games with real friends. Conversations go directly between devices and are not stored on our server — so safety relies on tools that work without us reading anything. Here is what is available and how to use it.
🆘 In danger right now?
- Immediate risk: call 190 (Polícia, Brazil’s police emergency number) or 192 (SAMU, Brazil’s emergency ambulance service).
- Thoughts of hurting yourself or of suicide: CVV (Centro de Valorização da Vida, a Brazilian emotional support and suicide prevention service) is available 24/7, free of charge, at 188 or at cvv.org.br.
- A child or adolescent at risk or being exploited: Disque 100 (Brazil’s national human rights hotline, which takes reports of violence against children and adolescents) or SaferNet — report (SaferNet is a Brazilian nonprofit that receives reports of online crimes against human rights). Do not share the content with anyone (not even to "show" someone).
If you are outside Brazil, also contact your local police or emergency number.
🚩 Report
You can report a message (press and hold or right-click it), a person (in their menu, in your friends list, in the voice room or in the group members) or a group (in the group settings).
- You can send the messages from the conversation as evidence. They go only to Salinha’s moderation team. For group messages, the server checks the digital signature of the device of the person who wrote them — this way we can tell whether the message is genuine or has been altered.
- When an account is suspended, its calls, direct connections and remote controls are ended immediately in the official apps.
- The person who was reported is not told who reported them.
- Reports involving children and adolescents or encouraging self-harm/suicide are treated as urgent.
Report without an account
Don’t use Salinha, or can’t sign in? Tell us here what happened. It goes straight to moderation.
🚫 Block
Blocking removes the friendship and prevents the person from messaging you, calling you, inviting you to a room or sending you a friend request again. In groups you share, their messages are hidden and their voice is muted for you only. They are not notified.
🛡️ What Salinha already does for you
- Friends only: direct messages, calls and entry to your salinha are only possible with people who are your friends. Groups are closed (invite only) and there is no search for public groups.
- Files: Salinha checks what each file really is. Disguised programs are blocked; programs, scripts and archives containing programs arrive with a warning.
- Links: before leaving Salinha you see the real website, with an alert for sites that imitate others.
- PC control: no one can control your computer unless you allow it in a window from Windows itself — and Ctrl+Shift+F12 cuts everything off.
- Your account: in settings there is “sign out of all devices”, if you think someone got into your account.
👨👩👧 For parents and guardians
Salinha is not intended for children under 13, and adolescents must use it with their guardians’ permission. Talk about: accepting only friends they know in person, never allowing strangers to control the PC, not opening files and links from people they don’t know, and using the report button. Questions: contato@salinha.live.
⚖️ For authorities
Fystec (Samuel Nogueira Gomes, MEI (Brazilian individual microentrepreneur), CNPJ (Brazilian business tax ID) 62.791.129/0001-12) cooperates with Brazilian authorities as provided by law — the Marco Civil da Internet (Brazil’s Internet Civil Rights Framework), the LGPD (Brazil’s General Data Protection Law) and the ECA Digital (Brazil’s Digital Statute of Children and Adolescents). Official requests, court orders and data preservation requests: contato@salinha.live (subject: “Jurídico”). Address: Rua Adamir Gonçalves Chaves, 53 — Cidade Nova, Patos de Minas/MG, CEP 38706-422, Brazil.
- What we have: account data (Google name and email, nickname, creation date), access logs (date, time, IP address and source port, kept for 6 months — art. 15 of the Marco Civil), friendships, group membership, the devices’ public signing keys, payments and reports received (with the evidence sent by the reporter and the signature verification).
- What we do not have: the content of conversations, calls, shared screens and files — they go directly between devices (peer-to-peer) and are not stored on our server. The only exceptions pass through the server without being stored: group pictures and “Watch YouTube together” searches.
- When we receive a preservation request, we lock that account’s logs and data beyond the normal retention period, as provided by law; if the account is deleted during the case, a copy is kept separately.
